The main objective of this document is to monitor the progress of energy efficiency in Brazil through an analysis of indicators. The first indicator report was published in 2014, with data up to 2012. The publication has been improved, and in 2020 it was renamed "Atlas of Energy Efficiency in Brazil - Indicators Report". This document updates and complements, in a more synthetic way, the first reports with data up to the year 2022.
This edition of the Atlas of Energy Efficiency has a special chapter that provides a detailed analysis of the residential sector in Brazil, the result of cooperation between EPE and the International Energy Agency (IEA). This chapter presents a national and international analysis of this sector, with a special focus on consumption by energy end use and consumption by income class.
