The Fact Sheet aims
to explore the dynamics between the rising demand for biofuels and the
efficient use of land in the Brazilian context. It highlights the possibility
of implementing “low-risk land-use change” techniques, also known as
“land-saving” techniques, which allow for maximizing biofuel production without
the need to expand new agricultural areas or compete with food production.
