Brazilian liquid fuel demand will keep growing in 2025. EPE forecasts an increment of 1.9%, or 2.9 billion liters, for 2025, and 1.9%, or 3.1 billion liters, for 2026.
Economic growth, a low level of unemployment, income transfer policies and government programs, with emphasis on the New Growth Acceleration Program (Novo PAC), should contribute to growth throughout both 2025 and 2026. Specifically, these indicators, along with the confirmation of expectations for the grain harvest, are reflected in projections of diesel demand, surpassing 72 billion liters by 2026.
Otto cycle fuels consumption has been experiencing continuous growth in recent years, due to a favorable economic environment. The favorable prospects for the 2025/26 sugarcane harvest and the consistent growth of corn ethanol support the supply of this biofuel. It is estimated that the hydrous ethanol demand will continue performing at a high level. Since August 1st, the anhydrous ethanol content in common gasoline C has been 30%.
In the aviation sector, moderate but steady growth is expected, mostly due to operational and energy efficiency gains.
LPG consumption continues to grow, partly encouraged by social programs transfers.
