EPE publishes report on advancements in Brazil’s oil and gas sector 2025

Amid the energy transition and ongoing regulatory changes, Brazil's oil and natural gas sector continued to play an important role in the country's energy security and economic development between 2024 and 2025. At the same time, initiatives aimed at diversifying the energy mix and reducing the carbon intensity of sector activities moved forward.

The Brazilian Oil & Gas Report (BOR) 2024/2025 covers macroeconomic conditions, government programs and initiatives, projects and investments, as well as developments across the exploration and production, natural gas, refining, and logistics segments. It also examines measures related to the energy transition and the modernization of refining infrastructure.
