EPE launches the English version of the Webmap EPE

The Energy Research Office (EPE, in its Portuguese acronym) launches the English version of the Webmap EPE to provide accessibility to foreign audiences looking for the most relevant information about the Brazilian energy sector.

EPE supports the Brazilian Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) energy policies through studies and research in energy planning covering electricity, oil, natural gas, derivatives, and biofuels. EPE studies span several disciplines including engineering, economics, modeling, policy, and environment.

EPE provides a wide range of information, analyses, and reports on key topics such as: electricity; statistics; energy efficiency; oil, gas and biofuels; socio-environmental studies and energy planning.

With the launch of the English version of Webmap EPE, it is expected that EPE can expand its visibility on the international stage and attract a broader audience of researchers, professionals, students, professors, journalists, and others interested in geospatial data of the Brazilian energy sector.

This new version allows the national energy planning data to cross geographical borders and breaks down the language barrier, significantly increasing in collaboration among researchers while facilitates the dissemination of data and information to an international audience.
