EPE collects and classifies the load for the main classes and segments, in addition to the number of consumers, basically through two systems: Market Monitoring System (SAM) and Market Information System for the Planning of the Electric Sector (SIMPLES).
The Statistical Yearbook of Electricity presents data related to the consumption of electricity in the distribution network. This publication is the result of the cooperation carried out within the scope of the Permanent Commission for Analysis and Monitoring of the Electricity Market (COPAM), under the coordination of the EPE.
EPE has developed the Anemometric Measurement Monitoring System (AMA) for the purpose of recording the anemometric and climatological measurements provided by wind farms. These measurements constitute a permanent and referential database for wind energy studies and for the development of technical instruments for the planning, operation and integration of wind farms into the national electricity system.
