EPE has the responsibility to collect data and consolidate statistics on the energy supply and demand in the country. These statistics produce a solid diagnosis of the current energy outlook in the country and are inputs to the energy planning studies.
All data and statistical analyses produced by EPE are consolidated in several publications such as the Brazilian Energy Balance (BEN), the Statistical Yearbook of Electricity, spreadsheets and documents made available to the society. Some more specific publications – such as the Monthly Review of the electricity consumption - the statistical information is complemented with updated and periodic analysis of the behavior of these segments.
